コンパイルとインストール

ここでは、portsを使って「acroread-4.05」をインストールする手順を紹介します。

# cd /usr/ports/print/acroread4  <--portsディレクトリに移動
# make install                   <--インストール

以上で、Acrobat Reader自身のインストールは終了です。

日本語フォントパックのインストール

続いて、日本語フォントパックをダウンロードしてインストールします。これにより、日本語のPDFファイルも表示できる様になります。
まず、下記のサイトから、日本語フォントパック「jpnfnt.tar.gz」をダウンロードします。ダウンロードに当たって、Languageは「Japanese」、Platformは「UNIX(Acrobat Reader 4.0)」、NearestFTPは「Japan」を選択します。

次に、ダウンロードしたファイルを「/tmp」デレクトリに置いて展開し、インストールします。

%cd /tmp <--tmpディレクトリに移動
%tar zxf jpnfont.tar.gz <--展開
%cd JPNKIT <--展開ディレクトリに移動
%su
# ./INSTALL <--インストール開始

This installation will not work if you do not have the
Unix Acrobat4 Reader installed prior to this installation.
If you do not have Acrobat4 Reader already installed on your
