Acrobat Readerのダウンロードとインストール

  • AdobeのAcrobat Reader for Unix Downloadsのページで、「 Version 4.05」の中から下記を選択しダウンロードします。

    ・Acrobat Reader 4.05 for Linux - English(linux-ar-405.tar.gz) 6.1 MB

  • 上記でダウンロードした「linux-ar-405.tar.gz」を以下の手順でインストールします。以下の例では、[/usr/local/Acrobat4]ディレクトリにインストールします。 

    $ cd /tmp                       <--ダウンロードしたディレクトリへ移動
$ tar zxvf linux-ar-405.tar.gz  <--ファイルを展開
ILINXR.install/ILINXR.TAR
ILINXR.install/INSTALL
ILINXR.install/INSTGUID.TXT
ILINXR.install/LICREAD.TXT
ILINXR.install/READ.TAR
ILINXR.install/ReadMe

$ cd ILINXR.install    <--インストーラのディレクトリへ移動
$ su
# ./INSTALL            <--インストーラを起動

  • 以上で、Acrobat Reader自身のインストールは終了です。


日本語フォントパックのインストール

  • 続いて、日本語フォントパックをダウンロードしてインストールします。これにより、日本語のPDFファイルも表示できる様になります。

  • まず、下記のサイトから、日本語フォントパック「jpnfnt.tar.gz」をダウンロードします。ダウンロードに当たって、Languageは「Japanese」、Platformは「UNIX(Acrobat Reader 4.0)」、NearestFTPは「Japan」を選択します。

    ・Asian font packs for Adobe Acrobat Reader

  • 次に、ダウンロードしたファイルを「/tmp」デレクトリに置いて展開し、インストールします。

    $ cd /tmp                  <--ダウンロードしたディレクトリへ移動
$ tar zxvf jpnfont.tar.gz  <--ファイルを展開
JPNKIT/INSTALL
JPNKIT/LANGCOM.TAR
JPNKIT/LANGJPN.TAR
JPNKIT/LICREAD.TXT
$ cd JPNKIT    <--インストーラのディレクトリへ移動
$ su
# ./INSTALL    <--インストーラを起動

  • 以上で、インストールは終了です。最後にwarningが出ていますが、特に問題は無い様です。
